Lorsque l'on regarde une photographie, c'est certainement le mannequin que l'on voit et auquel on associe la beauté de la photo, toutefois, le personnage derrière la caméra y est pour beaucoup. Certains sont alors bien meilleurs que d'autres, et Richard Avedon en fait certainement partie. Maître de la photo du 20e siècle, celui-ci a pris des centaines de célébrités et mannequins en photo durant une soixantaine d'années, avant de s'éteindre en 2004. Ce nom ne me disait malheureusement rien avant de voir une exposition sur Christian Dior où y était présenté quelques unes de ses photos, avec lesquelles je suis tombée en amour. Ayant travaillé pour Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, et ayant obtenu plusieurs prix dont le Lifetime Achievement Award du Council of Fashion Designers of America en 1989, il est facile de comprendre que Richard Avedon était maître de son art. Voici quelques unes de ses photographies pour lesquelles j'ai eu un coup de coeur. Je dois vous dire que j'ai eu bien de la difficulté à en sélectionner que quelques unes!
When we look at a photography, we usually associate the beauty of the picture to the model who is posing in it, but the person behind the camera should always be considerated as well. Of course, some of those photographers are better than others, and Richard Avedon should certainly be in that category. Photography master during the 20th century, he took hundreds of pictures of celebrities and models during more than 60 years, until he died in 2004. Sadly, I didn't know about him until I visited a Christian Dior exhibition where I saw some of his photos and that I totally fell in love with them. It is easy to understand that Richard Avedon was a master in his art when we know that he worked for Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and that he recieved the prize of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1989. So, here are some of his many photos that I fell in love with. I have to say that it was really difficult to only select some of them!
